Casey Green, a student at Yough High School in Herminie, PA, suffers from Myotonic Dystrophy, a type of muscular dystrophy is characterized by progressive muscle wasting and weakness, often with prolonged muscle contraction.
As a Pittsburgh Pirates fan, the Courage for Life Foundation sent Casey and his family to St. Louis to watch the Pirates take on the rival Cardinals. The Pittsburgh Pirates donated game tickets to Casey and his family for games on September 3rd & 4th.
Casey and his family lodged across the street from Bush Stadium at the Westin Hotel and Resort and experienced the sights and activities of St. Louis including the famous Gateway Arch and a horse-drawn buggy ride around the stadium.
A special thanks to Globe Airport Parking for donating parking for the Green family’s trip.
