Former sporting experience recipient, Chris Pendley, was diagnosed with embryonal rhabdomyosarcoma in 2011. After twenty rounds of chemotherapy, twenty radiation treatments, and several surgeries, Chris conquered his cancer.

In May 2013, the Courage For Life Foundation flew Chris and his family to Dublin, Ohio to attend the PGA Memorial Tournament. During an early week practice round, Chris met Bubba Watson, walked one of the holes with him and even putted on one of the greens with him.

It was a day that Chris remembers well, and an experience he wants to give to other high school athletes suffering from life-threatening conditions, which is why Chris started his own golf outing to benefit the foundation. In each of his first two years hosting the event, Chris has raised over $4,500.00 from sponsors and donations.

The outing is held each October in Monroe, GA.

Come back for details on the 2015 outing.
